Industrial Steel was founded in 1965 by Fred Wilson, Sr. and Elsie Wilson to fill a need for a quality steel fabricator and erector on Florida's East Coast. Now directed by Elsie Wilson, Industrial Steel is celebrating our 40th anniversary. Our purpose remains the same: to deliver the best service at the best price conforming to the highest quality standards. Our customers depend on us to deliver and we do.

We are a structural fabricator with erection capabilities. Steel and miscellaneous metals including stainless and aluminum are our specialty. We excel on tough challenges - jobs most steel shops either can't or won't touch. Industrial Steel's dedicated team is behind our tremendous growth and reputation.

We have an in-house detailing staff utilizing the latest in computer-aided detailing, including 2 SDS/2 detailing stations.

Our estimators are highly experienced in providing detailed take-offs and accurate estimates.

The commitment, attitude, and extraordinary work skills of our craftsmen are at the core of Industrial Steel. Our shop facility is over 80,000 square feet under roof. Inside the shop are (2) 20-ton and (7) 10-ton overhead cranes. A 40-ton stiff-leg derrick crane is adjacent to our building. Together with our mobile cranes and FEC railroad siding, we can handle longer, heavier shapes. Our modern, totally enclosed blast facility with a recovery system to recycle the steel shot and grit blast media enables our painters to provide a finished product which meets the quality and durability demanded of sophisticated coatings. Our new Wheelabrator offers our customers the finest in steel cleaning (See News.) We can fabricate, fit-check, and ship large structural assemblies reducing costly field connection and erection time. Our capability to perform proofload tests is unlimited.

With our company-owned-and-operated trucks, shipping costs are lowered and tight delivery schedules can be met.

Our field staff consists of experienced ironworkers who are fully-equipped and capable of taking on the most demanding jobs.

Our QA (quality assurance) department is a direct reflection of our commitment to maintain the highest standards in the industry. Our quality program has been approved by our clientele at KSC (Kennedy Space Center) and CCAFS (Cape Canaveral Air Force Station).

Industrial Steel is certified by the American Institute of Steel Construction to have the personnel, organization, experience, procedures, knowledge, equipment, capability and commitment to produce fabricated structural steel of the required quality for conventional steel structures, simple steel bridges, complex steel building structures with a sophisticated paint endorsement and fracture critical endorsement.

We offer AWS certified welding inspection, NACE certified coatings inspection and NDE (non-destructive examination) personnel certified to perform MT (magnetic particle), PT (liquid penetrant), and UT (ultrasonic testing) to provide total quality assurance.
