Ocala Regional Medical Center Expansion

Client: Robins & Morton Owner: Ocala Health Description: This expansion project added nearly 35,000 square feet of new space and renovated 50,000 square feet of existing space, representing an increase in capacity of approximately 15% (34 more inpatient beds).

Capital Circle and North Monroe FSER

Client: Culpepper Construction Owner: Capital Regional Medical Center Description: These two 10,800 square-foot ERs will bookend the city of Tallahassee and will give residents convenient, around-the-clock access to care. The ERs will have 24 beds total and be capable of providing pediatric and adult care.

UF Delta Gamma Sorority House

Client: Scorpio Corp. Owner: University of Florida Description: Featured in Southern Living magazine, this is a beautiful new Delta Gamma sorority house at the University of Florida.

UCF Recreation and Wellness Center

Client: WELBRO Building Corporation Owner: University of Central Florida Description: Completed in 2010, this was a 66,000 square foot Recreation and Wellness Center expansion that houses a variety of program activities. The primary use of the facility is for student recreation and wellness and includes spaces for cardio, fitness, in-door racquet ball courts, multi-purpose rooms, outdoor adventure center area, MAC gymnasium, offices, wet classrooms, new locker and rest rooms, a new 25 yard by 25 meter pool and associated pump room. LEED© Gold Certification awarded from the US Green Building Council.

Sumner High School

Client: CORE Construction Owner: Hillsborough County Schools Description: The new, innovative high school (formerly known as “High School TTT” in the construction phase) offers relief to two neighboring schools. The school, which we built for our client, CORE Construction, has more than 238,000 square feet and enrollment for close to 3,000 students. The school cost an estimated $70 million to build and is the biggest high school opened in the history of Hillsborough County Schools.

Starkey Ranch K-8

Client: Walbridge Owner: Pasco County Schools Description: Scheduled to open in Fall 2021, the new school, with gymnasium, playground, track, athletic fields and an exciting technical theater and library, will be located in a beautiful natural setting.

Santa Fe College of Fine Arts

Client: Danis Construction Owner: Santa Fe College Description: This beautifully designed building is the focus for the performing arts on campus. Built in 2011, the 39,599-square-foot Fine Arts Hall hosts classrooms, an auditorium, orchestra pit and various staging rooms to support the Fine Arts programs at Santa Fe College.

Pine Crest School of Innovation

Client: Wharton-Smith, Inc. Owner: Seminole County Public Schools Description: The new 110,754-square-foot school will feature 53 classrooms along with labs, administration area, dining, media center, and other support spaces to accommodate 930 student stations. This will be a school like no other with families traveling from all over the county to seek out opportunities in creativity and innovation.

Magnolia School and Behavioral Center

Client: Charles Perry Partners, Inc. Owner: Orange County Public Schools Description: This is a replacement facility for Magnolia School and a new Behavior Center, which will serve students with significant cognitive, physical or behavioral disabilities.

LECOM

Client: Willis A. Smith Construction, Inc. Owner: Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, Inc. Description: This 81,000 square foot project consisted of more than 1,000 tons of structural steel and joist. The two-story structure includes the dental school with classrooms and lecture halls, a patient clinic, faculty & staff office space and a small cafe. We completed this project successfully with a very aggressive schedule.
